Enhanced Access Procedures for Dogs West Building

To improve access to Dogs West facilities outside regular office hours, a new access process has been introduced. The intention is to provide access to Dogs West Meeting Rooms without relying on the presence of on-site staff after 5 pm on weekdays.

To achieve this, three new key fobs have been programmed. These key fobs not only unlock but also disarm specific areas within the Dogs West facility. The designated areas are as follows:

  1. Upstairs:Entry via the first lobby door leading to the Boardroom & MR 2 - Administration Building 1st level.
  2. Meeting Room 1 & Show Office:Entry via the Main Arena side of MR1 - Administration Building Ground Floor.
  3. Lower Arena:Entry via the designated entry door - Lower Arena Building and Meeting Room 4.

To ensure a secure and efficient process, a coded key box has been installed in proximity to the fob scanner for each designated area. The key fobs will only be placed in the key boxes when bookings are scheduled, and the access codes to these key boxes will be regularly changed for enhanced security.

Access Procedure:

Step 1: Getting the Key Box Code

  • Only the first person requiring access to the area needs the access code for disarm and unlock functions.
  • Designate a 'first on site' person and include their mobile number on the booking form or inform Dogs West Administration.
  • There is no need to arm the building after use at this stage; however, ensure all doors, windows, air conditioners, and lights are turned off.
  • Notify Dogs West Administration promptly if there is a change in the first on-site person.

Step 2: Using the Fob

  • The fob is inside the key box nearest to the nominated fob scanner.
  • Open the key box using the provided numbers (emailed or texted).
  • Swipe the fob over the scanner once to unlock and disarm the nominated area.
  • Return the fob to the key box and close.

Step 3: Leaving the Grounds

  • Turn off air conditioning and internal lights.
  • Close all doors and windows in the designated area.
